City Tour Guayaquil
Duration: Half day
First stop will be at Plaza de la administración to see: Municipal Palace, Government house, monument to Sucre, and finishing at Parque Seminario or, most commonly known as Parque de las Iguanas. Then we will take another walk along Malecón 2000 and visit plaza de Integración to see famous Mercado Sur or Palacio de Cristal and finally connect with Plaza Olmedo, very important for its Monument to José Joaquín de Olmedo, a very distinguished local poet and ex-president of the Republic. We go on towards Torre Morisca, where we will find all those monuments that standed out in the history of Guayaquil, and La Rotonda with monuments to Simón Bolívar and San Martín.
Our tour continues to the area of Jardín del Malecón where we will be able to see different plants such as: Teak, Guaba, Mango, ferns, bromeliads, Ficus, almond tree, etc. We finally visit the Colonial district of las Peñas, where many houses were converted into art galleries, to contemplate its wood architecture, and to enjoy a splendid panoramic view of Guayaquil and Guayas river from Santa Ana fort.
